Indiana has won three matches in a row, edging Punxsutawney yesterday by four strokes, 225-229. Peyton Scott led Indiana with a 52, Izzy Slagle was a stroke back at 53, Evangeline Pangonis shot a 57, and Bella Donatelli shot 63. The match medalist was Punxsy’s Katherine Crago, with a 49 at the Punxsutawney Country Club.
HERITAGE CONFERENCE CROSS COUNTRY
River Valley’s girls and boys swept a tri-meet yesterday from Penns Manor and West Shamokin, despite the Wolves’ Jasmine Lucullo and Jimmy Lucullo both taking first place in their races.
River Valley’s girls beat West Shamokin 20-36 and Penns Manor 15-48. West Shamokin topped Penns Manor 19-44. Top runner for the Panthers was Callie Reaugh.
River Valley’s boys edged West Shamokin 27-28, getting the win on a tenth overall finish by Devin Peiffer. The Panthers were led by Wyatt Taubler. West Shamokin beat Penns Manor 17-38.
