This week’s Pitt game promises to be much more difficult for the Panthers than last week’s. After running over Wofford, 45-7, Pitt will welcome Cincinnati, a 66-13 winner of Eastern Kentucky in their first game. Coach Pat Narduzzi says that with eight new transfer players in their starting lineup, the Bearcats are a bit of an unknown, but at least the Panthers are seeing them in week two rather than week one.
Cincinnati is coached by Scott Satterfield, who led Louisville to a 24-10 win over Pitt last season. Narduzzi says there are a lot of similarities between the Panthers and the Bearcats, just like there are between the cities of Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Fanduel Sportsbook has Pitt a seven-point favorite on Saturday. Sportsline has Cincinnati plus eight.
Two of Pitt’s ACC rivals met last night and Duke pulled off the upset, thumping 9th-ranked Clemson, 28-7. The Panthers play Duke in the last game of the regular season, on November 25th. They are not scheduled to play Clemson this season.
