Make it 4 in a row for the Pirates as they won in 10 innings over the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 Friday night.
The Pirates took the lead early when Alfonso Rivas hit an RBI double to right field in the top of the first. Liover Peguero scored on the play. The Cardinals tied the game in the 6th with a solo homer from Wilson Contrearas, giving Mitch Kellar a no-decision.
In the top of the 10th, Andrew McCutchen had a groundball single that scored Endy Rodriguez. Then on a wild pitch from St. Louis’ JoJo Ramiero, Liover Peguero crossed home, with McCutchen moving to second. Bryan Reynolds then hit a sac fly to score McCutchen.
Colin Selby got the win in relief, while David Benar got the save.
The two teams play tonight at 6:50 on WCCS.
