State police are asking the public to help them with an investigation into the recent death of a man from Missouri.
At 10:57 AM on Tuesday, state troopers from the Indiana barracks and the criminal investigation units were called out to the Two Lick Reservoir along East Pike Road in White Township for a report of a body found in the water. The Blairsville Water Rescue Team was summoned to recover the body, who was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. PA Fish and Boat and Game Commission officials also assisted at the scene.
The victim was identified as a man from Grain Valley, Missouri, which is just east of Kansas City. His name has not been released as they are still trying to notify his next-of-kin. Police say that he had recently traveled or relocated to Indiana. No foul play is suspected, and the cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy.
Troopers want to speak with anyone who may have been in the area of Two Lick Reservoir between the late-night hours of Monday, August 28th to Tuesday, August 29th. They are asked to call 724-357-1960 and ask for Trooper Mathias Schmotzer.
