With the season opener just ten days from now, IUP coach Paul Tortorella gathers his team at Miller Stadium today for another training camp practice. The team will practice every morning this week except for Wednesday, when it will hold a night practice that is open to the public, at approximately 6 PM.
The wide receiver corps is again going to be a key this season, bolstered by the returns of Hilton Ridley and Derek Lockhart and the addition of Quinn Zinoble, the Juniata Valley grad who played for Clarion before transferring to Albany, and now is at IUP.
Zinoble says the wide receivers will be a weapon for the Crimson Hawks.
Zinoble says transferring to IUP was a bit of a surprise for him.
Zinoble says his dad said he would enjoy the IUP experience.
Coach Tortorella joins Jack Benedict a week from tonight for the first edition of the 2023 season of Hawk Talk, on Renda Digital TV and U92 radio. The CH Fields Craft Kitchen at the Hilton Garden Inn will again be the home of Hawk Talk. IUP opens its season on Thursday, August 31st against Ashland at Miller Stadium.
