A week into training camp and new IUP quarterback Karst Hunter is quickly getting acclimated to not only his new teammates but also the Indiana area.
The redshirt junior transfer from Colorado Mesa sat down with The Voice of the Crimson Hawks Jack Benedict over the weekend to discuss his path to IUP. Hunter said he had never been to Pennsylvania before his visit in February, let alone the eastern part of the U.S., but he likes what he’s seen so far.
Regarding his decision to come to IUP, Hunter said he had no prior connections and was contacted after posting highlight tape and utilizing social media. When it came down to his decision, though, he said IUP’s culture and family-oriented atmosphere won him over.

Hunter adds the gritty work ethic is setting IUP up for good things coming into this season.
Camp continues this week for the Crimson Hawks, who open the season at home against Ashland on August 31st.
