Indiana County will see lots of activity this weekend as two major festivals are planned.
The 11th annual Knotweed Festival returns to the Blairsville Diamond on Saturday with lots of activities planned. Things kick off with a parade that runs through Market Street and Blairsville Borough Police Chief Lou Sacco advises those planning on watching the parade to get there early.
Cat Country 106.3 FM will also be broadcasting live from the Knotweed Festival from 1-3 PM.
Then on Sunday, Philadelphia Street in Indiana will be packed with the return of the annual Italian Festival, which raises money towards Renda Media’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive. The Festival runs from noon until 7 PM and several food vendors and bands will occupy the 900 through 1100 block of Philadelphia Street.
Last year’s Italian Festival reigned in around 4,000 people.
