The Pirates fell behind the Phillies, 4-1 last night, but rookies Liover Peguero and Endy Rodriguez led them all the way back for a 7-6 win.
Peguero had three hits, including a home run, and Rodriguez had an RBI double and a bases-loaded triple to plate the winning run that completed the rally. David Bednar recorded a five-out save, with a typically adventurous ninth inning capped by a 4-6-3 double play featuring a terrific relay from Peguero.
Game three of the series is this afternoon on WCCS. The Ben Cherington Show airs at 12:30m followed by the pregame at 1:10 and the first pitch from the Bucs’ Rich Hill at 1:35.
