MLB has suspended Pirates LHP Angel Perdomo and manager Derek Shelton for their involvement in Tuesday night’s incident in San Diego.
Perdomo plunked third baseman Manny Machado with a 98 mile per hour fastball in retaliation for Juan Soto celebrating a home run in the seventh inning. He will miss three games and will not appeal.
Meanwhile, Shelton will miss one game, that being Wednesday’s finale. Bench coach Don Kelly will serve as manager.
