Indiana High School baseball coach Bill Thompson has stepped down, three weeks after being named the TribLive High School Sports Network Class 4A Coach of the Year.
Thompson was 39-25-2 over three seasons after his first season, in 2020, was canceled due to the pandemic. He led Indiana to the WPIAL semifinals this season and they won a state playoff game at East Pennsboro before falling in the PIAA quarterfinals to eventual champion Bellefonte.
The Indiana Area School District has already posted the baseball head coaching job.
