Altoona mustered only four hits in a 7-2 loss to New Hampshire Friday night.
Outfielder Matt Fraizer hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot, in the third inning to cut the deficit in half, but the Fisher Cats tacked on a run in the bottom of the frame, followed by two more in the eighth to create separation.
Fraizer, Domingo Leyba, Mason Martin, and Chavez Young each tallied a hit. Beau Sulser took the loss after allowing four runs in just two innings. Bear Bellomy and Nick Dombkowski combined for four innings of two-hit, scoreless relief.
Game two of the three-game series is tonight. Altoona has not announced its starter yet.
