Former IUP guard Dave Morris has signed to play pro basketball with Ballincollig, in the Irish Super League. Ballincollig is also known as Emporium Cork and is the defending national champion in Ireland. It’s won four ISL championships.
Morris played three seasons for the Crimson Hawks after transferring from Tennessee State. He scored 1,233 points in 102 career games at IUP, twice being named All-PSAC first team, and he ranks second all-time at IUP in combined steals (221) and sixth in combined assists (415). He will start training camp in September.
“So many have dreams and ambitions to play after college, and Dave is no different,” said IUP head coach Joe Lombardi. “I’m very excited for him to be rewarded with this opportunity to play overseas and continue his basketball career…It’s an amazing blessing to go to college and have success as a team and individually, get your degree and continue to do something that you love. David has put in a tremendous amount of work developing his game as a team-first guy.”
