No one was hurt in a crash on Parkwood Road in Armstrong Township early Sunday morning. State police say that a pickup truck driven by 90-year-old Mark E. Dixon, Jr. of Shelocta was going West on Parkwood Road when a deer jumped out, causing him to swerve and go off the right side of the roadway, striking a culvert with the front passenger side tire. The truck became disabled in the culvert.
State Police have charged an Indiana man with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct for an incident in White Township. Troopers were dispatched to a home in the 900 block of Josephine Avenue at 3:34 PM on July 4th. Through the investigation, it was learned that 22-year-old Jeremy Thomas was intoxicated and broke the window at the home of his sister’s boyfriend. Thomas fled on foot prior to the arrival of state police.
State police have charged a Pittsburgh woman with DUI for an incident in West Wheatfield Township on July 4th. The Trib reports that 39-year-old Rose Crosby was pulled over in the 5600 block of Route 22 east. Police determined that she was under the influence of a controlled substance. She was processed and released.
