The Penguins continued to bulk up their depth over the weekend with the signings of forwards Andreas Johnsson and Vinnie Hinostorza to one-year contracts.
Johnsson played mostly in the American Hockey League last year along with thirteen games in the NHL, two with New Jersey and eleven with San Jose. He had no goals. Two seasons ago, he scored thirteen goals with the Devils.
Hinostorza had two goals last season for Buffalo. He played there and in Rochester with the Sabres AHL team. He has 53 goals in 360 NHL games played with the Backhawks, Coyotes, Panthers, and Sabres.
The Penguins still have four open spots to reach the maximum fifty players under contract by the start of training camp.
