Peoples’ Natural Gas has announced when they will start gas line replacement projects in Homer City.
The company will start this Monday replacing gas lines on the lower parts of Church and Grant Streets. There are also plans in the works to replace lines on Greely and Wiley Streets. Borough manager Robert Nymick stressed again that this is a project by Peoples’ Gas and not the borough and the borough does not have any control over the schedule. Residents in affected areas are being notified and signs are also going up to notify drivers.
Nymick said that while it is an inconvenience, it is a task that needs to be done.
