UPDATE (as of 2:04 p.m.): State police announced Alaina J. Mason was found safe at a location in White Township.
Troopers thanked members of the media, public, and assisting agencies for their prompt assistance. Assisting state police were the Greensburg Bloodhound Team, Indiana Borough Police, state police Aviation Unit, and troopers from the Ebensburg barracks.
State police are asking the public to help them find a girl who ran away from her home in White Township this morning.
State Police Public Information Officer Trooper Cliff Greenfield said that 12-year-old Alania J. Mason left her home in the 4000 block of Route 286 West between 4:00 and 5:00 this morning and has not returned home. Search teams have already been deployed including a bloodhound team to help find her.

She is described as four feet 11 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair with blonde highlights. She was last known to be wearing sandals and carrying a black Eastbay-branded drawstring bag.
Area residents who may have seen her or anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
