Altoona swept Wednesday’s doubleheader against Bowie, taking game one, 3-2, and game two, 1-0.
Four Curve players recorded a hit in game one. Liover Peguero collected a double, while Lolo Sanchez drove in two runs. Justin Meis earned the win after striking out three over three innings. Braxton Ashcraft made his Double-A debut and struck out four hitters and allowed two hits over a three-inning start.
The Curve’s only hit and run in game two came on Peguero’s solo home run in the first. Nick Dombkowski, Omar Cruz and Oliver Garcia held the Baysox scoreless through seven innings
The Curve will send RHP Sean Sullivan (2-0, 2.87 ERA) to the mound for game four of the series. Bowie has not announced its starter.
