Drew Maggi paid dividends late last night for the Altoona Curve.
With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 9th, he hit an RBI-single into center field to give the Curve a 4-3 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Maggi also did well on defense, making a diving catch in the 8th inning to help the Curve get out of a bases-loaded situation.
The win puts the curve at 29-24, and first in the Southwest Division. The two teams play again today with Aaron Shortridge starting for the Curve.
