IUP has scheduled a special session later this month, with the goal being to gain public input on the university’s long-range facilities master plan.
SmithGroup (formerly JJR) is working with IUP to assist in the planning process and to develop a comprehensive proposal for updating the master plan, as well as improving the student experience. The plan intends on linking the University Strategic Plan to the long-range physical development of the university’s campus over the next 20 years.
Officials say the current update includes a “careful examination” of how IUP is using its current space in order to create a recommendation for the future of the campus’ facility footprint, which makes public input “essential.”
