The offseason Organized Team Activities – or “OTAs” – begin today for the Steelers at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. The team will have ten voluntary sessions, and although players can choose not to attend, all are expected to be there as coach Mike Tomlin begins putting together his 2023 roster.
Yesterday, the Steelers released linebacker Tae Crowder, who started eight games for the Giants last year. They also cut ex-Ohio State running back Master Teague and former Chargers linebacker Emeke Egbule.
The team signed outside linebacker Toby Ndukwe, who was a tryout player at rookie minicamp. He played his college football at SMU and Sam Houston State.
With a current roster of 87, the Steeler have three open slots heading into OTAs.
