Homer-Center lost to Mount Union in the District 6 Double-A playoffs yesterday afternoon 8-1. Untimely errors sunk the Wildcats as Mount Union picked up four unearned runs on three errors. The Wildcat offense was held to three hits, with Braydon Radon picking up two of those hits, including a run batted in. The season ends for the Wildcats with a record of 12-9.
Marion Center lost their D-6 baseball opener 4-2 to West Branch. West Branch went into a three-run lead in the third inning and did not look back. Marion Center’s runs came in the fifth and tried to rally in the 7th but could only muster one additional run. Marion Center’s season ends with a record of 15-4 and 11-2 in the Heritage Conference.
United was also eliminated with a 3-0 loss to Bald Eagle. The Lions end the season with an 11-10 record and 8-5 in the conference.
