The Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were busy with three different calls on Thursday.
The first call was to set up a landing zone on Yankee Hill Road in Black Lick Township at 10:15 AM. No details were given as to why the landing zone was needed.
The second call of the day was a vehicle fire at 12:45 PM at the intersection of West Burrell and North Walnut Streets in Blairsville Borough. No details are available yet on the damage to the car or if anyone was hurt.
Crews would be called out a third time yesterday at 2:06 PM for a motor vehicle accident on Route 22 West near Snyder Lane in Burrell Township. Black Lick fire officials confirmed that a single motorcycle was involved in the crash itself. The rider was seen up on their feet walking around, but authorities still requested a medic unit to check him out. State police have not yet released any details on this incident.
Saltsburg fire department had a busy evening as well. They were called out for a report of utility lines down along Route 286 in Conemaugh Township at 5:08 PM. At 10:28 PM, they would return to duty for an automatic fire alarm activation along Market Street in Saltsburg Borough.
