Indiana Area School District Superintendent Michael Vuckovich enters his final week on the job this week.
Vuckovich’s last day is scheduled for Friday as the district transitions to the leadership of acting superintendent Robert Heinrich. Vuckovich came to Indiana in 2018 and is returning to his home area to be superintendent of the Windber School District. Heinrich is Indiana’s Director of Education.
Vuckovich’s departure leaves Indiana as the only district in Indiana County without an established superintendent. Purchase Line, which has a school board work session scheduled tomorrow night, last week named United Director of Education Patricia Berezansky as its superintendent. She will start next month.
