Down in the minors, the Altoona Curve lost to the Richmond Flying Squirrels 3-1 last night. The Curve were limited to 3 hits on the night. Altoona’s lone run came in the 5th inning, as Matt Gorski, who singled then advanced to third on a Mason Martin double, and finally reached home on a wild pitch. Aaron Shortridge completed five innings, but gave up all three runs in the loss. Altoona and Richmond will play again tonight.
Some roster moves were made for the Altoona Curve prior to the game. Infielder Drew Maggi is officially back with the team after clearing waivers as he was outrighted to Altoona. Meanwhile, catcher Dylan Shockey was transferred from Indianapolis to Altoona. He will wear #29 for the team.
