On Wednesday night, White Township Manager Chris Anderson requested that township supervisors delay action on a resolution concerning grant money for the amphitheater project at the White Township Recreation Complex.
The original resolution was to request no more than $200,000 in grant funds from the Commonwealth Financing Authority and the Department of Community and Economic Development. But Anderson said he wanted the grant application submitted with more specific information about how much they were asking for.
Once the resolution is passed, the application can be sent in. The grant money would go towards the second phase of the project, which will deal with the actual structure, including the roof and framework, along with creating some ADA-accessible paths and additional parking.
In other business, the township supervisors approved a fireworks display as part of the Lions Club’s 100th anniversary celebration. The fireworks will be set off from the former BiLo lot near the KCAC on May 20th.
