The Pirates and outfielder Bryan Reynolds agreed to terms on a long-term extension Tuesday morning.
Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said in a tweet that both sides agreed on an eight-year extension worth $106.7 million. He adds the deal runs through 2030 with a team option for 2031 and includes a modified no-trade clause.
Both sides agreed on monetary figures during Spring Training, but the anchor came in the form of an opt-out clause. This marks the second extension by the Pirates this week after they signed manager Derek Shelton passed the 2023 season over the weekend.
