Henry Davis blasted two home runs to lead Altoona to a 5-4 win over Bowie. Lolo Sanchez’s sacrifice fly to center field in the bottom of the 9th scored Fabricio Macias with the winning run. Davis was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Both of his homers were solo shots. The first was in the first inning and traveled an estimated 460 feet over the stands in left field. The second in the 6th inning was also to left, estimated at 389 feet. Tahnaj Thomas threw 1-and-a-third innings of hitless relief to earn the win.
The Curve will have today off before opening a 6-game series at Reading tomorrow night. It’s a 12-game road trip. After the visit to Reading, they’ll play 6 at Richmond.
