BASEBALL
Indiana JV swept a doubleheader from Hampton, 6-1 and 7-6. Sully VanHoose gave up only two hits and struck out six in a complete game. Caden Force and Charlie Manzi each had two hits and Manzi drilled a two-run home run in the first inning. Indiana took a 6-0 lead in the second game but Hampton fought back to tie it in the 4th. Tuscan Blystone then scored Zaine Parke with a tie-breaking single in the 7th. Blystone had two hits and VanHoose added a three-run double, Manzi also doubled. John Cribbs got the win in relief.
River Valley clobbered Purchase Line, 16-1. Sammy Yanits was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Caden Vresilovec, Hunter Riggle, and Niko Vadala all had two hits and three RBIs. Gavin Burkhart got the win, throwing four innings, striking out five while giving up just one hit and walking two.
That big game we’d been anticipating between 8-0 Northern Cambria and 7-1 United was postponed yesterday. The Colts will visit the Lions this afternoon at 4:30.
