FOOTBALL
IUP’s spring game today will feature about 50 plays between the Crimson Hawks’ offense and defense. The scrimmage will be at George P. Miller Stadium at 4 and admission is free. Jack Benedict previewed the game yesterday.
GOLF
IUP’s golfers struggled as a group on the back nine at the Indiana Country Club and ended up finishing second by seven strokes to Malone in the Cecil C. Spadafora Invitational. Leading going into the final day of the two-day event, IUP carded a 307 to Malone’s 296. Davis & Elkins finished third, followed by Charleston and West Liberty.
IUP’s Guillermo Salazar was third overall, with Jackson Buccigross tied for fourth.
LACROSSE
IUP midfielder Rylee Wilson is the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week. In the Hawks’ comeback win over Mercyhurst, she grabbed ten draw controls and two ground balls, and in IUP’s dominant win over Edinboro, she had a career high four goals, along with four ground balls and nine draw controls.
