It’s been feast or famine for the Pirates as of late. Three days ago, the Pirates were shut out by the Houston Astros. Two days, the Pirates shut out the St. Louis Cardinals. And on Friday night, despite the Pirates pitching and defense looking stellar, it was a shut out by the Cardinals. Joe Block reports.
The Pirates and the Cardinals will play this afternoon starting at 1:50 on WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160. Because of MLB regulations, the game will not be available on our internet stream.
Some good news for the Pirates on Friday was the return of catcher Austin Hedges. He was activated from the Concussion injured list and batted 9th last night. To make room for Hedges on the active roster, catcher Tyler Heineman was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
