The IUP Softball team swept UPJ in double-header action on Friday by scores of 11-9 in game 1, and 4-3 in game two. Madeline Miller had one hit in four at-bats, but the one hit was a grand slam as part of a seven-run first inning in game one. Delaney Patella was 4-for-7 with four RBI’s, three runs scored, and a two-run homer. The team is in action today in Greensburg for a double-header against Seton Hill.
Meanwhile, the baseball team dropped both halves of the double header with Seton Hill 5-1 in game 1 and 7-2 in game two. While the Crimson Hawks racked up 16 hits, they could only muster the three runs across both games. Harrison Pontoli had the only extra-base hit.
