The Penguins return to the ice tonight at PPG Paints Arena against the Nashville Predators, hoping to erase the memory of Tuesday’s loss in Detroit, and with the Eastern Conference playoff race even tighter than it was yesterday.
The Florida Panthers are just one point behind the Pens for the second and final Wild Card spot in the East after they beat Toronto, 3-2 in overtime. Making matters even worse, the Islanders picked up two more points last night with a 2-1 shootout win over Washington that puts New York five points ahead of the Penguins for the first Wild Card.
The Penguins canceled practice yesterday and Mike Sullivan was not available for his normal media appearance.
Tonight’s game faces off shortly after 7 o’clock. The pregame begins at 6 on U92.5 FM and streaming audio on U92radio.com.
