Pitt football’s Pro Day is today, with fourteen former Panthers scheduled to work out for pro scouts. Thirteen of the players from last season’s team will be joined by linebacker John Petrishen, who last played in 2021. Among the most interesting prospects are defensive linemen Calijah Kancey, Habakuk Baldonado, and Deslin Alexandre, running back Izzy Abanikanda, linebacker SirVocea Dennis, and safeties Brandon Hill and Erick Hallett.
While those former Pitt standouts will be looking for pro jobs, coach Pat Narduzzi continues to gather in future Panthers. Yesterday, he got a verbal commitment from Downingtown East High School senior-to-be Adham Abouraya, a 6-5, 285-pound offensive lineman who is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. He’s the 30th-rated prospect in Pennsylvania overall and the number nine offensive lineman.
