On Tuesday night, the Blairsville Borough Council made two significant hires.
Jody Poorbaugh was named the new manager/secretary/treasurer for the borough. She is a longtime borough employee and has worked with several former borough managers including Tim Evans and Mike Baker. The other hire was for Dave Fairman as both public works director and code enforcement officer. Fairman previously served as the public works director for Indiana Borough. Fairman officially accepted the offer after the council approved hiring him last month.
In other business, the council approved a variance request from Bonarrigo Enterprises, Inc. to allow for additional storage units on the property.
