The Pirates beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2 in Spring Training action yesterday at Bradenton’s LECOM Park.
Former Ray Ji-Man Choi had a homer against his former team, a two-run shot in the first inning. Homers were also hit by Cannan Smith-Njigba and Mason Martin. Osvaldo Bido got a spot start yesterday for the Bucs and looked strong in his time on the mound, throwing two hitless and scoreless innings allowing one walk and striking out four.
The Pirates host the Twins today and Mitch Kellar will start for the Bucs.
