The Steelers formally introduced free agent acquisitions Patrick Peterson and Nate Herbig yesterday, on the same day they came to contract terms on another new inside linebacker, Elandon Roberts, who was formerly with the Patriots and the Dolphins. Roberts will team with ex-Washington Commander Cole Holcomb at the heart of a new inside linebacker corps, with the departures of Robert Spillane, Devin Bush, and Myles jack, who was released yesterday.
Peterson, an eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback and two-time All Pro, says he will fit right in with a talented Steelers defense.
Herbig brings tremendous size and physicality to the Steelers. He played last season for the Eagles, and says playing in Pittsburgh is a thrill.
None of the Steelers’ 18 remaining free agents have signed elsewhere so far.
