On the second day of the “legal tampering” period, the Steelers lost starting inside linebacker Robert Spillane, who agreed to a two-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi agreed on a three-year contract extension with the Steelers, and safety Damontae Kazee agreed to return on a two-year deal. The team then reached agreement with former Jets and Eagles offensive guard Nate Herbig.
In other NFL moves, well-traveled quarterback Andy Dalton came to terms with the Carolina Panthers. The Colts will release quarterback Matt Ryan.
