Tristan Jarry’s struggles continued for the Penguins last night and the team lost an important game to Montreal. Here’s Paul Steigerwald.
Coach Mike Sullivan says the Pens didn’t give up a lot of shots, but the ones they did give up were too good.
Sullivan says the team is doing everything it can to help Jarry regain his All-Star form after injuries knocked him ot for substantial portions of January and February.
The Pens were already playing without defenseman Dmitry Kulikov, who is out “week to week” after being injured on Sunday against the Rangers. In the game last night, they lost defensemen Jeff Petry and Jan Rutta with injuries. Center Ryan Poehling, who is currently on long term injured reserve, was a full participant in yesterday’s morning skate.
The Pens play the Rangers tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden, and meet the Rangers in the same venue on Saturday.
