Today is the first day of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional at the KCAC and expect it to be busy in that area with many basketball fans in attendance.
Four games are on the docket for today. It kicks off at noon with Mercyhurst taking on East Stroudsburg, followed by West Liberty against UPJ. IUP will take the floor for the 5:00 PM game against Winston-Salem State and the night-cap will feature Fairmount State against Virginia Union. If you are planning on going, tickets are $20 for all four games today for adults, $12 for kids ages 3-18 and seniors and for students from participating schools. IUP students using their I-card will get in for free courtesy of the Student Co-Op.
IUP is going into today’s game against Winston-Salem as the number 1 seed in the Atlantic division and are 30-1 on the season, including their win last week for the PSAC championship. Winston-Salem is 21-8 overall, and won their way into the tournament as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Champions, beating Lincoln PA last Saturday 62-57.
