IUP faces a very familiar foe tonight in their first PSAC playoff game. They just played Cal U on Saturday, eking out a three-point win on the road. Now they face the Vulcans at the KCAC.
The 27-1 Crimson Hawks are the top seed in the PSAC West and have won three straight conference championships. Cal is 15-13. Coach Joe Lombardi says there is a lot at stake in the tournament.
The winner tonight moves on to the PSAC semifinals on Saturday at the highest remaining seed in the East. UPJ plays at Mercyhurst in tonight’s other PSAC West game. In the East, top seed Shippensburg plays Lock Haven and number two West Chester will host East Stroudsburg.
Tonight’s game airs at 6:45 on U92.5 FM and U92radio.com.
