On 92.5 FM U92 tonight, the fourth seeded IUP women open play in the PSAC Tournament with a West Division game at the KCAC against number five UPJ. The winner will play top seed Gannon on Wednesday in Erie. The other half of the PSAC West draw has Edinboro hosting Seton Hill, with the winner to take on Cal on Wednesday.
In the East, East Stroudsburg will visit Millersville tonight, with top seed West Chester awaiting the winner. Kutztown will host Lock Haven, with the winner to play Shippensburg on Wednesday.
IUP is 18-9 on the season. They split the season series with UPJ.
The IUP men are the top seed in the West. They get the first round bye and will play the winner of tonight’s game between number four Cal and number five Seton Hill. Coming of a narrow three-point win over Cal on Saturday, coach Joe Lombardi says the PSAC tournament is a suitable “next step” before the NCAA Tournament, as the Crimson Hawks look to solidify their top spot in the Atlantic Regional.
Coverage of the IUP women and UPJ tonight begins at 6:45.
