The IUP basketball teams get a rare in-season break with no games scheduled on Wednesday. The regular season wraps up Saturday with a doubleheader at Cal U.
Coach Joe Lombardi’s men are 26-1 heading into the final weekend. Craig Carey’s women’s team is 18-8. Lombardi says his team could use the rest, but at the same time they will be ramping up for a playoff run that he hopes will be deep.
Both IUP teams beat Cal U the first time they played, on January 21st. The women won, 71-65. The men took their game, 87-70.
