Indiana’s sprinting sensation Abbie Huey won both the 200 meter and 400 meter races yesterday at the TSTCA Championship Meet indoors at Edinboro.
Huey set school records in both races, with her 200 meter time at 25.21 and finishing the 400 meters in 57.36.
For the boys Charlie Weber finsihed second in the pole vault, jumping 13 feet 6 inches, while Jacob Gill earned a 6th place medal with his time of 53.22 in the 400.
In the relays both boys and girls 4×400 teams medaled. The girls team of Huey, Kate Mill, Addie Fry and Eve Kuzneski took 5th place with a school record time of 4:16.65, breaking their old mark by about 12 seconds. For the boys Gill, Jon Berzonsky, Will Berzonsky, and Jacob Killeen took 7th place with a time of 3:40.22.
Next Sunday the team will finish their indoor season with the Indoor State Meet at Penn State University. Abbie Huey in the 200 and 400 and Charlie Weber in the pole vault have qualified to represent the team.
