The IUP Crimson Hawks return home for a doubleheader tonight against Edinboro. It is the next-to-last doubleheader of the regular season, with a Saturday twinbill against Slippery Rock closing out the home slate.
The IUP women are 17-7 and 12-7 in the PSAC. They are a half-game behind PSAC West second place Edinboro, which is 15-8 and 12-6. Edinboro routed IUP in their previous meeting last month, 95-69.
The IUP men are 24-1 and 18-1 in the PSAC, as Joe Lombardi coaches his 500th career game. He is 392-107 lifetime, all while coaching IUP. The Crimson Hawks slipped to fourth in the nation in the latest Division II poll this week. Edinboro is 5-18 and 3-15 in the PSAC. IUP won the first meeting, 79-61.
