HOCKEY
Indiana traveled to Johnstown yesterday and beat Westmont Hilltop, 6-2.
Indiana scored twice in the second minute of the game, on goals by Landin Wilson and Sam Barley. They took a 3-0 lead early in the second period on Philip Bell’s first of two goals on the night and after a Hilltoppers goal made it 3-1 Indiana after two periods, Bell scored on the power play at 1:14 of the third. Westmont scored again to make it 4-2 but Gabe Nettleton and Colton Rayko added goals for Indiana to set the final at 6-2. Jayden Learn made 14 saves to earn his sixth win of the season against two losses.
UNITED
The United School Board last night rehired Kevin Marabito as the head football coach. Sean Mack and Rich Hixon will return as assistants. The board also hired Bob Penrose as the school’s cross country coach with Tara Oleksa as assistant. Lyda McAdoo returns as volleyball coach and Chris Wirick was rehired as soccer coach.
