One of Pitt’s veteran quarterbacks will not be back next season, according to a social media post.
Nick Patti announced on Instagram yesterday that he will not exercise his COVID-19 eligibility next season and will move on from football after five seasons. Patti accumulated 783 yards and five touchdowns on 71 pass completions during his time with the Panthers. While he didn’t see much playing time, he’s known for leading Pitt to wins in the 2021 Peach Bowl and the 2022 Sun Bowl, where he went 20-of-41 passing with 225 yards and a touchdown in the win over UCLA.
Patti thanked the game for giving him “the best friends and memories anyone could ever ask for.”
