The Pens great start to the second half of the season is still going with a 6-3 win last night against the Ananheim Ducks.
At the 9:03 mark of the first period, the Pens got the scoring underway with a goal by P.O. Joseph. Anaheim would tie it up at the 15:26 mark with a power-play goal by Trevor Zegras. The Pens would get a power play goal of their own from Kasperi Kapanen at the 17:38 mark of the period. The Pens third goal came with 13 seconds to go with a goal from Jeff Carter.
P.O. Joseph scored the only goal of the second period, his second of the night, at the 14:55 mark.
In the third, Bryan Rust scored the Pens 5th goal near the half-way point. Jake Guentzel scored the final goal for the Pens at the 12:08 mark. Anaheim started a comeback effort that included goals from Mason McTavish and John Klingberg, but it was not enough to get a win.
No rest for the Pens as they head down to Los Angeles to take on the Kings tonight. The game can be heard on U-92.5 FM starting at 9:30 with the pre-game show, with the game starting at 10:30.
