One of the people involved in a drug case in Armagh from 2020 is due before a judge today in Indiana County Court.
23-year-old Jasmine Ann Dorsey of Johnstown will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco for sentencing to a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for an incident on September 5th of 2020. A second charge of controlled substance possession will not be prosecuted.
This is in connection with a traffic stop at the intersection of Routes 56 and 711 in Armagh Borough. When police approached the vehicle, they noticed the odor of marijuana. Both 20-year-old Treazure Lumair Toney of Pittsburgh and 23-year-old Izaih Lamont Toney of Johnstown were identified in the incident along with two others. They were told to get out and Treazure threw a cup of liquid at the officer then fled on foot. After a half-mile chase, he was eventually caught. During the chase, Izaih hid two handguns in the nearby weeds. He was arrested and found to be in possession of 21 baggies of suspected crack cocaine, a baggie containing eight rocks of crack cocaine and a baggie of marijuana.
Treazure was ordered to serve six months to a year in prison and a year of probation, while Iziah was sentenced to 11 months to a day less than two years for a guilty plea to a charge of carrying a firearm without a license.
