The NHL All-Star game is tomorrow in Sunrise, Florida, and the Penguins’ Sidney Crosby is right in the center of the action.
Crosby will team up with longtime friend and rival Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals in the Breakaway Challenge at the All-Star Skills event tonight. The two of them will skate against former Florida goaltender Roberto Luongo, who is a 2022 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee. Crosby will also take part in a dunk tank game where shooters try to hit a target to dunk an opponent. Crosby and Ovechkin will also be teammates on the Metro Division team in Saturday’s game.
The All-Star game will also feature a unique oddity…Bo Horvat will wear a New York Islanders jersey for the first time during the All-Star Skills event tonight and then play for the Pacific Division tomorrow. Horvat was traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Islanders on Monday.
