BOYS BASKETBALL
The Indiana boys ran up against the tough Hampton Talbots last night at Fifth Street Gym. Jake Slebodnick has the recap.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Penns Manor toughed out a 40-31 win over Cambria Heights last night with a couple of sophomores leading the way. Alyssa Altemus scored 11 points and Allie Mumau 10 for the Comets. Mumau made it a double-double with 10 rebounds. Sienna Kirsch had 12 for the Highlanders.
Penns Manor needs only to beat either Purchase Line or Northern Cambria to clinch first place in the Heritage Conference East.
Heritage East second place team Portage blasted Purchase Line, 71-41 as Ari Wozniak tossed in a career-high 31 points and Maddy Hudak added 14. Bailey Weaver had 17 for the Red Dragons.
WRESTLING
United’s amazing season rolled on last night with a 50-15 District 6 Dual Meet win over Mount Union in Championship Round One.
Winners on the mats for the Lions included decisions by Gideon Bracken, Colton Henning, Michael Monty, and Zack Travis and falls by Noah Pisarik, Traystin Tomalson, and Sawyer McGinnis.
RIFLE
In a tight shooting match, Indiana rifle lost to Armstrong, 797-54x to 782-36x. Top shooter for Indiana was Nathan Teacher again, with a 100-5x.
